Oil on canvas. Original art by Shirley Gregory. Shirley considered this her best work; and was done when she was married to her first husband, Ken Gregory before his untimely death.
The artist signed and dated the painting on the back of the canvas frame: "S. Winsor (Gregory) 1977. Summer."
It is signed at the lower right corner as "Shirley Gregory."
The painting is completely designed and created by the artist. Each dove was first hand-drawn out as a stencil, then transferred to the canvas. The flowers and the branches were first designed on paper before being hand-drawn onto the canvas for painting.
It is in a wooden frame of gold and dark highlights, with a velvet Indian red inner border.
The painting was appraised, and placed on display by Art Works Gallery in Costa Mesa.
